Power BI Report Value Types and Digitail Equivalents
Power BI (PBI) reports can be used to analyze data and gain insights into various aspects of a business. As we transition these reports onto the Digitail platform, it can be confusing to understand the different values represented in PBI reports and how they relate to the Digitail reports and values. In this article, we will provide a comprehensive list of PBI reports and their corresponding Digitail value types.
What are Value Types in Power BI Reports?
Value types in Power BI reports refer to the different types of data that can be displayed in a report. These can include numerical values, text, dates, and more. Understanding the value types used in a report is important for accurately interpreting and analyzing the data.

When is Power BI being deprecated?
The expected date is at the end of this Quarter 31 March 2025
Will the historic data we had in Power BI be the same in the Digitail reports?
Whilst most data will be the same, there may be some differences due to the reporting dates used. This is due to Power BI reports using either the sale date or the record date; whilst Digitail consistently uses the sale date for financial reporting
Will there be a reporting dashboard or visuals like in Power BI?
Digitail has a report Summary Panel on several reports which have similar graphics to PBI. We are also planning to release a KPI dashboard.
Will I be able to export the Digitail reports
All Digitail reports can be exported to a CSV format
Will I have read-only access to the historic Power BI reports?
No, your access to the Power BI platform will be removed. If you want a record of the historic values, we suggest exporting the necessary data before 31 March 2025
