Calendar greyed out in Digitail

Why is the calendar greyed out in Digitail, and how can it be fixed?

Updated today

If you find that your calendar is greyed out in Digitail or certain users' calendars, such as associate doctors, are not visible, there are several common causes and troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. Below are the primary solutions to address this problem:

1. Check Permissions and Access Settings

Permissions are often a root cause of calendar visibility issues:

  • Ensure you have the "View Clients/Patients" permission enabled. This is essential for basic calendar access.

  • Verify that the "View Appointments" permission is also enabled.

2. Enable Calendar Visibility

Every user needs to ensure that their calendar visibility settings are correctly configured:

  • Navigate to your user profile and confirm that "Calendar visibility" is toggled ON. If this toggle is OFF, your profile will not appear in the calendar filter.

3. Adjust Calendar Filters

The filters in the calendar view may affect visibility:

  • Open the Filter button in the calendar view.

  • Check that the correct clinic and your staff profile are selected. Without appropriate filters, your calendar may appear greyed out.

4. Verify Schedule Configuration

Schedules need to be configured both for the clinic and for individual users:

Clinic Schedule Configuration:

  1. Go to Administration > Clinic Profile > Schedule.

  2. Ensure the clinic’s main schedule is active with proper intervals for each working day.

Personal Schedule Configuration:

  1. Go to My Profile > Schedule and verify your schedule settings: - You can use the clinic’s schedule or set personal intervals. - Switch ON the days you want to be available. Days toggled OFF will not be available for appointments.

Associate-Specific Setup:

If the issue occurs with associate doctors, their schedule setup may be incomplete. For associates:

  1. Check if their shifts are properly configured in the Team Schedule page.

  2. During their account creation, ensure the "default clinic schedule" checkbox was selected for them.

5. Add or Update Staff Shifts

Staff shifts are another key factor in calendar visibility:

  1. Log into your account and click on the Profile icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Select Administration > Team Scheduling.

  3. Create or update shifts by clicking New Shift and entering the required details. You can set recurring schedules to streamline this process.

6. Try Additional Troubleshooting Steps

If none of these settings resolve the problem, consider the following:

  • Access the calendar through Workflow > Calendar (New) from the top menu.

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then log in again.

  • Try using a different browser or switch to incognito mode to see if the issue persists.

By following these steps, you can resolve most issues related to the greyed-out calendar in Digitail. Always double-check permissions, shifts, schedules, and filters for a comprehensive solution. If you encounter further problems, consider reaching out to Digitail support for assistance.
