Anesthesia monitoring directly in your SOAP.

Updated today

The Anesthetic Monitoring Widget enhances efficiency and accuracy when tracking patient vitals during anesthesia. Located in the Objective section of the SOAP, it provides an intuitive interface for recording and monitoring key anesthesia parameters.

How the Anesthesia Monitoring works

The Basics

Start & Stop Monitoring: Begin tracking vitals with a timer that records the duration of the anesthetic procedure. Once stopped, the timer cannot be restarted without first clearing the session.

Customizable Monitoring Cadence: You can record values every 5 minutes or at any preferred interval.

Session Control: If the monitoring session is no longer relevant (e.g., mistakenly recorded under the wrong patient), users can stop and clear the entire session.

Edit & Delete Entries: You can modify recorded values or timestamps within any column. If an incorrect entry was made, they can delete the entire column.

Recording Values

Record essential anesthesia values, such as:

  • Heart Rate (bpm)

  • SpO2 (%)

  • SAP, DAP, MAP (mmHg)

  • Temperature (°C)

  • Respiratory Rate (rpm)

  • EtCO2 (mmHg)

  • Iso/Sevo (%)

  • Oxygen Flow Rate (L/min)

  • Fluid Therapy details

  • Notes for additional observations

Real-time Trend Graph

All numeric values automatically generate a graphical representation of trends over time.

Anesthetic Monitoring PDF Summary

All the values recording during the session can be included on the Record summary

Tips & Tricks for Anesthesia Monitoring

Keyboard Navigation: Quickly move through fields using the Tab key.

Voice Input for Tails AI Users: Instead of manually typing values, Tails AI users can dictate vitals for faster and hands-free data entry.

The values that are added as part of the Anesthesia Monitoring are not overwriting the Vitals section, or the other way around.

This new widget ensures seamless monitoring and documentation of anesthesia, improving workflow efficiency and record accuracy. Try it out today in the Objective section of the SOAP!
