Why Use Greywind in Digitail
With Greywind, you can access a wide range of diagnostic providers through a single integration. Instead of managing multiple separate connections, you’ll benefit from:
One central integration that unlocks access to 10+ labs (and growing)
Simplified setup and management, with all labs in a single interface
Streamlined workflows, from ordering tests to mapping providers
Automatic syncing of results into your patient records
Flexibility to connect with multiple partners as your clinic needs evolve
This helps you focus more on patient care, reduce complexity, and save time.
Before You Begin
To use Greywind in Digitail, your clinic must first have an active account with the diagnostic provider you wish to connect with (e.g., Vetek, Moichor, Zoetis).
Here’s how it works:
Contact the provider you wish to connect with.
The provider will verify your practice details and, once your account is active, will issue your Clinic ID.
If you already have an account, your existing practice information is usually sufficient - no extra documents are required.
Once you receive your Clinic ID, you can continue with the setup steps below to connect Greywind in Digitail.
How to Set Up Greywind Step by Step
1. Log in to your Digitail account.
2. Go to Administration → Integrations.
3. Click Connect under the Greywind logo.
4. You’ll see all available lab partners. Click on the one you want to connect.

5. When you connect to a lab (for example, Moichor), a new section will appear below prompting you to enter your Clinic ID. Use the Clinic ID provided by Greywind to fetch the list of available providers.
6. Enter your Clinic ID (assigned by Greywind) → click Get Providers.
7. Map clinic veterinarians (Staff in Digitail) to their lab identities (Providers in Greywind)
In Digitail, each team member has an account. To ensure that lab orders are correctly attributed, the same veterinarians must also exist as Providers in Greywind. When mapping:
Staff (Digitail) → your veterinarians in Digitail.
Providers (Greywind) → the corresponding provider profiles from Greywind.
Existing staff members
For veterinarians who already have user accounts in Digitail:
1. Check if they are already listed as providers in Greywind.
If yes, make sure to map the veterinarians (Staff in Digitail) to their lab identities (Providers in Greywind)
And if you are adding more than one staff member at a time, click on the Add Button on the left side, and a new field will appear right below.
2. If they are not listed listed as providers in Greywind, you can add them:
From Digitail: Use the Add Provider button in the integration settings to create a new provider directly in Greywind.
When you click the button, a pop-up window will appear. From the dropdown menu, select the staff member you want to create a provider account for, and then click Save.
From Greywind: Log in to the Greywind admin panel and create the provider there. Once created, they will automatically appear in Digitail under the Providers list.
New team member in Digitail
1. First, create a new user account for them in Digitail. Detailed instructions can be found in this article.
2. Next you go to the Greywind mapping section in Administration → Integrations → Greywind.
3. Under Staff, you will see the newly added team member. You can either:
Link them to an existing provider from the Greywind list, or
Create a new provider using the Add Provider option presented above.
📌 If you connect a new staff member to an existing provider, lab results will show under the provider’s name you selected (not the staff member’s own name).
📌 If you create a new provider, it will generate a new identity in Greywind that matches your new veterinarian.
8. When finished, click Save. You’ll see a ✅ success message: “Successfully updated vet/provider mappings!” You can now return to the Greywind integration card, where your Connected Partners will now display at the top.
You can also find it under Diagnostics & Imaging, right next to Greywind.
❌ Disabling a Greywind Integration
If you would like to disable any of your Greywind integrations, please contact the Digitail Support Team for assistance.
Get started after setup
After the Greywind integration is active and you have mapped your veterinarians to providers, you can begin using it with your connected labs:
1. Link lab tests to your billable services
Go to Administration → Services.
Either link tests from your connected labs (via Greywind) to existing services or create new ones.
If you want to link existing services from your clinic, search for them and click on Edit details.
If you want to add a new service, click on Add service.
When adding a new service, you can use the search field to find the test you need.
To display the full list of available tests, simply click on the search field and a dropdown will show up.
You can also filter by Provider (e.g., Vetek, Moichor) to narrow down the results and select the correct lab test.
You can add multiple tests to the same service (and products from your stock too!).
After adding all the tests, click on Save. You are now ready to submit an order!
📌 To get a full list of available tests, press space in the search field.
📌 If you don’t see a specific test, click the Sync button above the search field.
After the integration is active and you have your first services linked, you can start submitting orders directly from the SOAPs.
2. Submit lab orders directly from SOAPs
Open a patient record and go to the Plan → Services & Products section and add the lab tests.
When you are ready to create the order, click on Manage lab order → Create new order.
If your clinic is connected to more than one lab, a dropdown menu will appear where you can choose the lab (e.g., Moichor, Vetek, etc.).
Once selected, you will be prompted with a list of all the tests added to the record. From here, you can:
Select all or only some of the tests to include in the order
Choose the staff member responsible for the order
Add optional notes
Click Order Tests to submit
📌 If you are submitting to multiple labs, repeat the same steps for each lab.
Once you submit the order, you can see all the orders directly on the SOAP, by clicking the 'Manage orders' button with their ID and submission date.
3. Review results in Digitail
Results from your connected labs will sync automatically into the patient record once they are ready. Results will appear as:
A PDF in the SOAP (Objective → Files)
Directly on the SOAP, under 'Manage orders' button (as presented above)
In the Health Card, under Diagnostics
Under Reports → Medical Reports, Lab Tests
📌 Linked services also ensure that lab orders are automatically included in the client’s invoice.
Best Practices
Ensure your clinic has an active account with the diagnostic provider before setting up Greywind in Digitail.
You can connect to multiple labs through Greywind - just repeat the steps above for each partner.
If you don’t see a provider list after entering your Clinic ID, double-check your Greywind credentials or reach out to Greywind Support.
For missing services or other issues related to lab connectivity, please also contact Greywind Support.
Once connected, you can link lab tests to services (Administration → Services), just like you do with IDEXX or Antech integrations. (Please see Get started after setup)
