The DSP Transactions Report lets you export a reconciliation file of your clinic's Digitail Secure Payments (DSP) card transactions - directly from the Payments Report. No need to switch between Digitail and the Stripe dashboard to piece together what was charged and paid out.
How This Helps Your Daily Work
Role | What it does for you |
Receptionist / Front desk | Export a clean payment reconciliation file scoped to any date range, without needing access to Stripe or manager-level reports. |
Practice managers | Get the full picture - charges, refunds, DSP fees, Stripe payout amounts, and payout dates - all in one CSV, filtered exactly how you need it. |
Where to find it
The DSP export lives inside the Payments Report - it's not a separate page.
Reports - Billing & Payments - Payments Report
Once you're on the report, look for the Export menu at the top of the table.
How to export the DSP Transactions Report
Go to Reports - Billing & Payments - Payments Report.
Apply any filters you need - at minimum, set your Date range (see Filtering your export below).
Click Export DSP Report.
The CSV downloads to your device automatically.
Note: If the filtered result set is larger than 5,000 transactions, the file won't download immediately. Instead, you'll see a "Report is being prepared" message - the file will be emailed to you. Check your inbox.
Other things you can do
Filter your export
The export uses the same filters as the Payments Report. Set these before exporting to scope your file to exactly what you need:
Date - the date range for the export
Client - filter to a specific client
Description - filter by transaction description
Refund/Credit - choose Display refunds only, Do not show refunds, or Credit only
Payment source - All, Integrated, or Manual
Payment method - filter by payment method
Card type - shown when a card payment method is selected
Last card digits - shown when card type is selected
Staff - filter by staff member
Wellness Plan - filter by Wellness Plan
Tips & best practices
Always set a date range before exporting. An export without a date filter can return a large result set and will be sent by email instead of downloading immediately.
Your permission level determines what columns you get.
Reception staff see a payment reconciliation view (without processor fees).
Managers with the Export DSP Bank Reconciliation permission also get DSP fees, Stripe payout amounts, and payout dates - the columns needed to match against bank deposits.
The export is always scoped to DSP. Even if your Payments Report shows other payment providers, the CSV will only include Digitail Secure Payments transactions.
The file name includes your date range (for example,
DSP Transactions Report-2026-05-01-2026-05-31.csv) - useful for filing and audit trails. The Export DSP Report option is only visible to DSP clinics. If you don't see it in the Export menu, your clinic may not have Digitail Secure Payments enabled. Contact Digitail support or your Administrator to confirm.
Surcharge columns appear automatically if Credit Card Surcharge is enabled for your clinic - no extra steps needed.
Common Questions
Why can't I see the Export DSP Report option?
Two things are required: your clinic must have Digitail Secure Payments (DSP) enabled, and you need at least one of the following permissions - Export DSP Payment Reconciliation or Export DSP Bank Reconciliation (both also require View Payments Report). If DSP is active but you still can't see the option, contact your Administrator to check your User Role and Permissions.
Why doesn't my export include DSP fees or Stripe payout details?
Those columns are only included for users with the Export DSP Bank Reconciliation permission. If you only have Export DSP Payment Reconciliation, you'll get the payment reconciliation view without processor fee details. Ask your Administrator if you need the full bank reconciliation view.
Why did I get an email instead of a direct download?
If the filtered result contains more than 5,000 transactions, or if your clinic has a direct-export restriction in place, the report is generated server-side and sent to your email. Check your inbox - it should arrive shortly.
My export returned a "no data found" result. What happened?
This means no DSP transactions matched your current filters. Check that your date range is correct and that DSP transactions exist for that period. The export only includes Digitail Secure Payments transactions - if your clinic hasn't processed any DSP charges yet, the file will always be empty.
Where do the surcharge columns come from?
Surcharge columns (Amount, Surcharge Rate %, Surcharge amount before tax, Surcharge tax amount, Surcharge) are included automatically when the Credit Card Surcharge feature is active for your clinic. If you don't see them, the feature may not be enabled - contact your Administrator or Digitail support.
