Wellness Plans Reporting and Insights

This article targets managers or clinic owners needing clear visibility into wellness plan performance

Current Reporting Options

As of now, Digitail provides wellness plan visibility through three filters available in separate reports:

  1. Plans filter in the Patient Report

  2. Plans filter in the Sales Report

  3. Plans filter in the Payments Report

Patient Report

You can easily see if a patient is on a Plan on the Patients page. You can also filter all patients using the 'Plans' filter, so you can see them at a glance.

All patients who are on a Plan are also marked with a special icon. You can see this next to their name, on all pet/client info cards, across the platform. By clicking on the icon, you'll be able to see all plans associated with that patient, with all their details.

Sales / Payments Report

A new sale and invoice is created automatically when the next payment is due, which you can easily find in the Sales Report.

There is also a filter, so you can see at a glance all sales that are generated from Subscriptions, or to filter them out if needed.

If the charge is successful, a payment will also be visible on the Payments Report. Similarly, you can filter all payments associated with plans using the filter below.

Wellness Plans and Staff Commissions

Wellness plans use Digitail's standard staff-commission tools — there's no separate "plan commission." Both the plan sale and the services delivered under a plan can earn commission through the normal provider + AAHA-code setup.

  • Plan sales: the recurring subscription charge is recorded as a sale line attributed to the team member who enrolled the client (for online self-sign-ups, it defaults to the clinic owner), under the wellness-plan revenue AAHA code. To pay commission on plan sales, set a commission percentage for that team member on that code.

  • Plan-covered visits: a service or product covered by a plan appears as a normal billing line with its own provider and AAHA code, so it credits the provider who performed it. Because commission is calculated on the amount after the plan discount, a fully covered (100%) item earns no commission on that line — it still counts toward production — while a partially covered item earns commission on the remaining amount.
