The Notification Center helps you stay on top of everything that matters in your clinic. You can fully personalize which notifications you want to receive, decide how you wish to receive them (platform or email), and choose between Personal updates (just for you) or Clinic-wide updates (shared with your team).

Set Up & Access
To access your preferences:
Go to the Notification Center from the sidebar.
Click the Settings ⚙️ icon in the top-right corner.
In Notification Preferences, you can:
Select notification types you want to receive (e.g., only get notified when assigned a task).
Choose Personal or Clinic notifications (just your updates, or your team’s too).
Enable/disable email notifications for supported notification types, without needing to update your profile settings.
⚠️ Not all notifications have email options for the clinic team. For example, staff changes to appointments won’t trigger a clinic email — only the Pet Parent gets notified. To adjust what Pet Parents receive, check this guide: Customizing Pet Parent Notifications.
Personal vs. Clinic Notifications
You can fine-tune whether you receive only Personal notifications or also see Clinic-wide notifications.
Personal → Only updates that directly affect you.
Send your personal notifications to the Platform (Your Notification Center) and Email
Clinic → Updates about your colleagues’ activities.
Send all clinic notifications to the Platform (Your Notification Center) and Email

Email notifications are sent to your Digitail login email
Desktop notifications appear in your Notification Center

Examples:
A Receptionist may want to see all appointment requests (no matter which Doctor is booked) to manage the schedule efficiently.
A Doctor may prefer only to receive updates for their own Patients and appointments.
ℹ️ Some notifications are always clinic-wide — such as SMS replies from Pet Parents. If enabled, these appear in everyone’s Notification Center.
Notification Categories
Notifications are grouped into clear categories to help you focus:
Appointments
Stay updated on new appointment requests, confirmations, cancellations, or reschedules.
Tasks
Get notified when you’re assigned a task, or when tasks are edited, marked as done, or need attention.
Records
Receive updates on Patient records: new SOAP notes, changes to Treatment Plans, or when you’re tagged in a note.
Client Communication
Be notified about Pet Parent replies, signed forms, or treatment plans.
Staff linked to a form/estimate receive Personal Notifications.
Colleagues receive Clinic Notifications.
For public calendar appointments, the appointment owner is linked to the form.
Lab Results
Get alerts when new lab results arrive.
Digitail Wellness Plans
Stay informed about failed subscription payments.
Other
Mentions (e.g., a colleague tags you in an Appointment, Task, or Record), so you’re always in the loop.
Best Practice Workflows
Reception staff: Enable clinic appointment notifications + email alerts, so no request slips through.
Doctors: Focus on personal records, lab results, and tasks to streamline your day.
Managers: Enable both personal and clinic notifications for visibility across the team.
