What is the Client Overview?
The Client Overview is one page for everything about a client across all of their pets: contact details, transactions, wellness plans, and appointments. Front desk teams and practice managers use it to see the full picture without opening each pet's health card.
How this helps your daily work
Role | How it helps |
Front desk | Take a payment, check credit, or find a client's appointments in one place. |
Practice managers | Review a client's balance, plans, and visit history across all of their pets. |
Where to find it
Patients → open a patient's health card → side panel → Client Overview.
You need the new layout turned on. To switch, select Switch in the banner at the top of the page.
How to review a client's full picture

Tips & best practices
Check the Patient column on Appointments and Transactions, since both cover every pet the client owns.
Use the side panel for quick checks and the Client Overview for anything that spans pets.
Use Send email with preferences link instead of editing preferences yourself, so the client confirms their own choices.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why can't I find the Client Overview?
The Client Overview is only in the new layout. Select Switch in the banner at the top of the page to turn it on.
Where are invoices, cards on file, and client notes in the new layout?
Sales and their invoices are on the Transactions tab, along with Cards on file. Client notes, which were called internal notes in the classic layout, are on the Client tab under Client Notes.
How do I add a pet or see archived pets?
On the Client tab, go to the Pets section. Select Add Pet to add one, or switch between Active and Archived to see archived pets.
Why do I see appointments for pets other than the one I opened?
The Appointments tab shows the whole client, not one pet. Use Filters or the Patient column to narrow it down.
Where are Files and Documents?
They show a Coming Soon tag in the Client Overview and aren't available yet. This will also include the ability to store and send files & forms directly for clients.
