Digitail offers a special workflow for animal hospitals that have multiple locations / branches. Our team will set up your account with the right workflow in the beginning.

How does it work?

πŸ₯ Change the current location without logging out.

From the top right, you can see all the locations that you have access to. You can easily switch between them to see specific information.

πŸ₯ Each location has its own clinic account and settings.

This means that each location has control over the schedule, services offered, integrations, and other personalizations.

πŸ₯ A user can be active in multiple locations.

With the same login details, users can access multiple locations from the same place.

πŸ₯ A user can have different roles & permissions in each location.

A user can be an admin in one location and a doctor in another one. Depending on the permissions associated with each role, the user can access different things in each location.

πŸ₯ Patients, appointments, and records can be easily shared between locations.

The team can view the patients from other locations and access the entire medical history with no hassle. They can also check the schedule availability of the other branches and add appointments if needed.

Let's go more in-depth in each section and see how they work!

😻 Patients

By default, you are going to see all the patients from the location that you are logged in. Using the Clinic filter, you can select other locations and see the entire patients lists.

Each patient has a combination of letters (a unique code associated with each location) and a number.

In the example below, US-68 is a patient associated with Animal Hospital, while DV-145 is associated with VetDigitail.

πŸ“Œ Only the users that have permission to access patients in different locations will see the filters.

πŸ“Œ The top bar Smart Search only looks for patients & clients in the current location.

πŸ“Œ If a patient has been to multiple locations, you will see all their IDs on their profile for easy referencing.

πŸ“… Appointments

On the calendar page, you can view appointments from all locations, depending on the filters selected and the permissions of each user.

When adding an appointment, you can choose the clinic (by default the current location is selected). Based on this selection, the list of staff members will be different.

πŸ“Œ Only the users that have permission to access appointments in different locations will see the filters and the dropdown menu.

πŸ“Œ In the New Requests from the left sidebar, only the appointments for the current location are displayed.

πŸ“ Records

From the pet's profile, you can filter by location and view the complete medical history. The records associated with the location that I'm logged on will have the Edit icon as well, while the others only have a preview option (when clicking on them).

πŸ“Œ Only the users that have permission to access patients and records in different locations will see the filters.

πŸ“Œ The records associated with a different location can't be edited without switching the location.
