ℹ️ The shopping list is an efficient tool to hold all the products you want to order which can be based on low stock quantities or special orders.
It can be used to generate a pdf export for emailing to your supplier/s.
📌 It is also possible to send the Shopping list to Vetcove to create an order, provided that you are using the integration.
Create a Shopping List
One way to efficiently group products for ordering is by implementing stock alerts. The stock alerts can group the products into Low stock or Out of stock. Learn how to do that by reading this article
After setting up your stock alerts, you can start adding products to your shopping list by going to Inventory >> Products >> Stock and use the relevant filter.
You can also add individual products to your shopping list and enter the quantity you want to order.
Or you can also choose multiple products and add them to your shopping list.
Review and Manage your Shopping List
To review and manage your shopping list, go to Inventory >> Products >> Shopping List
Edit the Shopping list
You can edit the quantity for a specific product by entering the desired quantity into the Purchase Quantity field or use the plus/minus buttons.
Vetcove integration with the Shopping list
Select one, multiple or all the items of the Shopping list and send to Vetcove directly to create an order. Learn more about this integration and use here.
If your clinic uses CDMV or Vetcove, click the corresponding button to send the selected items directly to your supplier’s platform.
Send your order to suppliers
If you don’t have integrations enabled, click Send to Supplier instead.
💡For a faster, smoother workflow, email your selected shopping list to yourself. It’s the quickest way to create an order without adding items one by one.
5️⃣ Email orders to non-integrated suppliers
The Send to Supplier option opens a window where you can:
Select the Supplier
Enter one or more email addresses
Add a short message
Click Send
This will automatically email a CSV file to the supplier and create a Purchase Order in Pending state within Digitail.
❗Ensure that your Supplier Agent information is kept current to further optimize this step.
Remove items from the Shopping list
You can remove one or more products from the list by using the delete button or select multiple items and bulk delete.
Export your Shopping list
You can use the Supplier filter to refine the items on the shopping list, then click on the Export Pdf or CSV button to generate the required export format.
This Pdf or CSV can be attached to an email to your intended supplier.
💡To facilitate WDDC accepting/integrating the orders into their system, clinics using this supplier must ensure that the WDDC codes are captured in the Internal Description of the Product information. This field is included on the CSV export.
