How clients are invited automatically
When you add new Patient/Clients to your Digitail PIMS, clients are automatically invited to download the App and use their auto-generated account.
What your client sees when they log in for the first time
Pet Parents log in to the Digitail Pet Parent App on a phone or tablet. After you add them in Digitail, this is the sequence they go through:
They get an email about their new account, asking them to download the Digitail Pet Parent App.
After downloading and installing the app, when they arrive at the login step, their email address is prefilled.
The app prompts them to use the magic link to log in. This triggers a second email, which they use to log in.
In that same email they can set up a password for future logins.
Once logged in, they see your clinic information and the pet you have just added to the clinic database.
⚠️ Important: the Digitail Pet Parent App is a mobile app — Pet Parents log in on a phone or tablet. The Digitail website at vet.digitail.io is your clinic's own login, and it will not accept a Pet Parent's email and password even when both are correct.
Send Clients Invites to the App
Clients that are not active on the App yet can be invited by you.
From the Health Card, you can see if the client doesn't have the App installed yet, and send an email invite directly.
This is the email that clients will receive when you send the invite 👇
The same functionality is available in the add appointment modal, when your staff adds a new appointment.
The app invitation timeout is 30 days. This means that once sent, the invite button will be inactive for thirty days. After this interval you can send the app invite again.
QR code/Clinic link
Each clinic has its own unique link.
⚠️ Navigation updated: The Clinic Link has moved. To find it: click your profile icon (top right) → Administration → select Clinic Link from the left side menu. You can also press ⌘K / Ctrl+K and search "Clinic Link" to get there instantly.
When opened from a mobile device, the clinic link will direct the user to the phone app store.
Similar to the app invite - the pet parent will be connected to the clinic., irrespective of them having a Digitail Account or not.
The QR can be scanned with the camera and will display the clinic link.
The QR is great tool to have in the waiting room or on the clinic social media profile.
Pro Tip - The clinic link can be easily emailed to your pet parents.
When tapped, the pet parents experience the same behavior as with the QR code.
They are directed to app store to download and install the app.
Depending on whether they have an account or not, they will be prompted to sign up or login.
Identify App users
You can check if a client has downloaded the App in multiple ways. In the case they don't have the App installed, you will be able to send them an invite.
From the Health Card, on the Client profile, you can see if they have the App installed (and since when).
All clients who have the app installed will display a chat icon next to their name across different places on the platform.
Clicking on the Contacts tab on the Chat page will bring up a list of all the users of the app. You can also use the search to find a client faster.
