Digitail allows clients with the Digitail mobile app (Pet Parent App) to set their own notification preferences. If your Pet Parents are not receiving notifications from your clinic, take a look through the troubleshoot steps below to ensure their settings are correct.
1. Open client's profile from Digitail PIMS, and expand the Preferences section, to see the Preferred Communication Channels.
2. If all their Preferred Communication Channels are enabled,
a. then have the Client open their Digitail App, and navigate through Menu button (bottom right corner) > Account > Notifications
For each communication channel (Email, SMS, Push Notifications), App Users can select if they want to disable Appointment updates notifications and reminders separately:
📌 If an App User disables both Appointment Updates and Reminders for a specific communication channel, then in the Digitail PIMS it will appear as unchecked in their Preferred Communication Channel preferences.
📌 However, if an App User disables only one of Appointment Updates or Reminders in their App preferences, then in the Digitail PIMS it will appear as checked in their Preferred Communication Channel preferences (requiring additional troubleshooting by the Client to verify if they do indeed have both communication preferences selected).
Example Scenario
If a Client does not receive a reminder for an upcoming vaccination, or a confirmation of appointment, then the clinic will first want to check their clinic preferences (Step 1 above), and if all communication channels are enabled, then the clinic will want to confirm with the client that all of their communication preferences are also enabled within their Digitail Pet Parent App (Step 2 above).
