Get starter with the myBalto integration

ℹ️ Learn how to activate and use the integration between Digitail and the myBalto Foundation to raise funds and support patients in need — with no cost, admin burden, or eligibility barriers.


How to activate the myBalto integration

The integration is available to all clinics using Digitail in the U.S.

To get started:

  1. Go to your myBalto Foundation dashboard and confirm your hospital’s information.

  2. Create your Master Admin account and schedule a quick onboarding call with a myBalto Specialist (~30 min).

  3. Join the Hospital Welcome Meeting (~20 min) with myBalto’s CEO for a full overview and Q&A.

Once setup is complete, you can immediately start submitting claims, collecting donations, and supporting patients in need.

📌 Please note that it may take until the next day for myBalto system to be able to verify the product has been added.

If for some reason you have added your product, and you are still not seeing donations coming through, then:

  1. Verify the product name in your system matches "myBalto Foundation Donation" exactly, no extra spaces at the end.

  2. Verify you've added the product in the myBalto platform in your settings.

  3. Reach out to myBalto team via email or by chat

Add the myBalto Foundation Donation as a line item

Step 1: Log into your account

Step 2: Click on the "person icon" in the upper right hand corner then click "administration".

Step 3: You will scroll down on the left hand column until you see "Inventory" and click on "Services".

Step 4: Click on "Add Service"

Step 5: Enter the information as it appears in the image below

Step 6: Click SAVE

Step 7: You have now successfully added the myBalto Foundation Donation to your PIMS! Head back over to the myBalto Foundation Dashboard --> Settings --> Veterinary Mgmt System --> Click the blue button "Verify" to confirm your line item.


How the integration works

The myBalto Foundation provides veterinary practices with nonprofit fundraising tools to cover the cost of care for patients in need — all fully integrated with your Digitail workflows.

  • Submit donation claims for eligible patients directly from your myBalto dashboard.

  • Automatically collect small donations from Pet Parents using Round-Up at Checkout.

  • Promote your custom donation page to raise funds year-round.

  • Launch targeted campaigns through GoFundMyPet for specific patients or causes.

  • Host or participate in fundraising events, managed and supported by myBalto.

Add myBalto Foundation Donation to Invoice

Step 1: Proceed to Billing, scroll to "Add Services and Products", select "Services" and type in myBalto Foundation Donation

Step 2: Change the "Unit Price" to the donation amount that the customer would like to give and check out per usual.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the myBalto integration free?

Yes. The entire platform — including your dashboard, donation site, and all fundraising tools — is completely free to clinics.

Can I start fundraising right away?

Yes! Once your onboarding steps are complete, your clinic can immediately begin accepting donations and submitting claims.

Who can receive financial support?

Any Patient your clinic deems in need of financial assistance. There are no criteria enforced by myBalto.
