Record your phone calls with AI Dictation and Smart Summarization

Tails can now listen to your entire phone call, transcribe everything and summarize in a short communication note. You only need to review the content (you can make any adjustments you need) and save.

AI Dictation is part of Tails, the veterinary AI assistant that makes your job easier, from summarizing medical information, helping with dosage calculations to writing personalized discharge notes and automating check-in and prescreening.

How does it work?

  • Open the communication modal by clicking on Send Message from the left sidebar or Add New Communication from the Timeline.

  • Click on Log Phone Call or Log Other Interaction

  • Use the 🎙️ icon to record your phone conversation; let Tails transcribing your voice

  • Click on Summarize and your conversation is transformed in a relevant summary. The subject is automatically generated based on the context

You can Change the Tone and Size based on your preferences.
By default the summary has a professional tone and a medium size.

Using the circle arrow icon you can always revert to the previous summary or to the initial full transcription.

FAQ

  1. Is there a duration limit for dictation recordings?

    Yes, the dictation is set to a maximum duration of 20 minutes.

  2. Are particular types of microphones necessary for use?

    No specific types of microphones are required. Effective dictation can be achieved using any device equipped with a built-in microphone. For optimal performance, it is advisable to minimize background noise.

  3. Can Tails record the pet parent's voice on the other end of the phone call?

    Currently Tails can only record your voice. Here are our suggestions to get all the relevant information:

    1. repeat the customer's answer

    2. use the speaker option from your device

    We listen to your needs; we are looking into Voip Integrations that will listen to your customer's voice too.

Keep in mind that in the US 🇺🇸, 11 states require the consent of everybody involved in a conversation or phone call before the conversation can be recorded. Those states are California, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
