Understand your public calendar performance and drop-pff rates

Updated over a week ago

Understanding how many online appointments your clinic receives and how well your marketing campaigns are performing is crucial.

With our conversion tracking functionality, clinics can now track appointment requests made through the the public calendar.

Whether your clinic uses the public calendar embedded on your website or via a redirect to a full calendar page, Google Tag Manager (GTM) can be utilized to capture key metrics.

This guide will walk you through setting up conversion tracking, helping you gain valuable insights into your clinic's online appointment flow and marketing success.

Prerequisite for enabling conversion tracking - Setting up Google Tag Manager

Here is a step-by-step guide for setting up GTM.

Once you are done setting up GTM, or if you have already done this, please proceed to the next chapter of this article.

Depending on how you set up your calendar, you will configure your GTM differently.

The two different public calendar set-ups are:

  1. "Simple" public calendar page ( the pet parent clicks on a button e.g. "Book now" and is redirected to your public calendar page -> e.g. https://vet.digitail.io/clinics/your-clinic-name)

  2. Embedded public calendar (the pet parents sees the public calendar widget on your website, example below)
